Method

Fruit Filling

Preheat oven to 350°F. In bowl, combine apples, pears, Date Purée and cinnamon; toss to coat well. Spread filling in greased 9-inch square baking dish. Set aside.

Almond Crisp Topping

In bowl, mix oats, almonds, Date Purée, oil and salt.

Cover reserved fruit filling with Almond Crisp. Bake until topping is golden and fruit filling is bubbling (if necessary, cover with aluminum foil to prevent browning too much). Let cool 15 minutes before serving. (Make ahead: Can be covered and refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.)
