Refreshing ginger and lime make this throwback drink a great entry-level cocktail for those who aren't used to spirits. It's traditionally served in chilled copper mugs, but a highball glass works just as well.

Ingredients

  • ice cubes
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • Half lime , juiced
  • 6 oz nonalcoholic ginger beer
  • 2 slices limes

Method

Fill highball glass or large old-fashioned glass with ice. Add vodka and lime juice. Top with beer; stir to blend. Garnish with lime.

CHANGE IT UP: Montego Bay Mule
Substitute vodka with rum.
