This recipe is based on the classic formula of 1 part sour, 2 parts sweet, 3 parts strong and 4 parts weak. Lime juice and rum stand in for the sour and strong; the sweet and weak are left to your taste. These juice combinations are just starting points.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz sweet juice, (such as guava, pineapple or mango)
  • 1-1/2 oz rum
  • 2 oz weak juice, (such as coconut, pineapple or soursop)
  • Ice cubes

Preparation

In glass, stir together lime juice, sweet juice, rum and weak juice. Add ice.
