Sangria, a Spanish wine punch, is a blend of wine, spirits and fruit. This recipe uses white sparkling wine, but for the classic red wine sangria, see the following variation. When the fruit is in season, do as they do in the south of Spain and add nectarines and peaches.
Ingredients
Preparation
Place sliced fruit in pitcher; stir in sugar and salt. Let stand for at least 1 hour. (Make-ahead: Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.)
Add brandy. Slightly mash fruit. Stir in wine and ice. Serve immediately.
Additional information : Pitcher Mojitos are another party favourite, or for Sangria lovers this Mexican Sangria recipe uses cinnamon, peach, tequila and curaçao! These recipes and more can be found on our sister site - ThatstheSpirit.com.
