This Spanish punch is a blend of wine, spirits and fruit. This recipe uses sparkling wine, but we've included a classic red wine variation as well. When nectarines and peaches are in season, add them to the mix.
Ingredients
- 1 1lemonlemons
- 1 1limelimes
- 1 1orangeoranges
- 1 1appleapples
- 1/3 cup 1/3cupgranulated sugar
- 1 pinch 1pinchsalt
- 1/4 cup 1/4cupbrandy
- 1 bottle (750 mL) 1 bottle (750 mL)cava or sparkling dry white wine
- 2 cups 2cupsice cubes
Preparation
Quarter lemon, lime, orange and apple; seed and thinly slice. Place slices in pitcher; stir in sugar and salt. Let stand for 1 hour. (Makeahead: Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.)
Add brandy; slightly mash fruit. Stir in cava and ice. Serve immediately.
