Crunchy Salad Topper
This is the greatest thing since croutons. Simply sprinkle some onto salad to add unique crunch. Try it also on yogurt or ice cream. – Kate Dowhan

1 cup (250 mL) toasted slivered almonds
1/2 cup (125 mL) dried cranberries
1/2 cup (125 mL) thinly sliced dried apricots
Preparation:
In bowl, toss together almonds, cranberries and apricots. Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 1 month.

Walnut Apple Crunchy Salad Topper: Replace almonds with toasted chopped walnuts; cranberries with pepitas (hulled pumpkin seeds); and apricots with thinly sliced dried apples.
Soy and Sunflower Crunchy Salad Topper: Replace almonds with soy nuts (roasted salted soy beans); cranberries with dry-roasted shelled sunflower seeds; and dried apricots with dried blueberries.
