Edamame

Tested Till Perfect

For another appetizer, look for edamame (fresh soybeans) in the freezer section of the grocery store or Asian market.

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

    1 pkg (1 lb/500 g) edamame
    1 tsp (5 mL) salt (sea_salt, if available)

Preparation:

Bring pot of water to boil over medium-high heat. Add edamame and sa< return to boil and cook until tender, 2 to 3 minutes. Drain well and transfer to serving bowl. Sprinkle with additional salt, if desired. Serve warm or cold. Pull apart pods and eat like fresh peas.
