Frozen fruit and tofu make this smoothie thick, creamy and nutritious. Whip it up in the morning and pour it into a vacuum bottle. Tell your child to shake it up and you'll find he'll be asking for one every week.

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup silken or soft tofu
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 1 banana

Preparation

In blender, purée together fruit, orange juice, tofu, yogurt, lemon juice, honey and banana until smooth.

Variation
Vegan Fruity Tofu Smoothie: Omit yogurt. Increase silken tofu to 1 cup (250 mL). Increase lemon juice to 3 tbsp (50 mL). Replace honey with corn syrup.
