Gingered Sugar Snap Peas

3 cups (750 mL) sugar snap peas
2 tsp (10 mL) vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp (2 mL) finely minced gingerroot (or 1/4 tsp/1 mL ground ginger)
1/2 tsp (2 mL) sesame oil
1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper
Preparation:
Remove tip of each sugar snap pea; pull string from side. Set aside. In large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat; fry garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add peas and 2 tbsp (25 mL) water; cover and steam until tender-crisp, about 4 minutes.
Sprinkle with sesame oil, salt and pepper.
