Warm grilled pineapple and cake make amazingly delicious partners to the cool ice cream and caramel.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp liquid honey 2 2tbsp tbspliquid honey
- 1 tbsp dark rum 1 1tbsp tbspdark rum or orange juice
- 4 slices (1/2 inch/1 cm thick) pineapples 4 4slices slices(1/2 inch/1 cm thick) pineapplepineapples
- 4 slices (1/2 inch/1 cm thick) pound cakes 4 4slices slices(1/2 inch/1 cm thick) pound cakepound cakes
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream , (about 2 cupts/500 mL)4 4scoops scoopsvanilla ice cream, (about 2 cupts/500 mL)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce 1/2 1/2cup cupcaramel sauce
Preparation
In small bowl, combine honey with rum; brush half over pineapple. Place on greased grill over medium heat. Close lid and grill, turning once and brushing with remaining honey mixture, until glazed and golden, about 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, grill cake, turning once, until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Arrange on dessert plates. Top each with pineapple slice and scoop of ice cream. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
