A bite here, a morsel there - before you know it, you'll have eaten quite a few of these sweet and tangy sausage pieces. You can substitute your favourite types of sausage, we recommend spicy Italian, fresh chorizo or gutsy garlic.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh sausages 4 fresh sausages
  • 1/4 cup grainy mustard 1/4 cup grainy mustard
  • 1 tbsp liquid honey 1 tbsp liquid honey
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme 1/4 tsp dried thyme

Preparation

In large nonstick skillet, cook sausages over medium heat, turning occasionally, for 15 minutes or until golden and firm throughout. Let cool for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, whisk together grainy mustard, honey and thyme. Cut sausages into 1/2-inch (1 cm) pieces; place in ovenproof dish. Pour mustard mixture over top and toss to coat.

Bake in 350 F (180 C) oven for 15 minutes or until juices run clear. (Make-ahead: Let cool; cover and refrigerate for up to 1 day. Reheat before serving.) Serve with small skewers.
