Ingredients
- 1 can (19 oz/540 mL) chickpeas , drained and rinsed1 1can (19 oz/540 mL) can (19 oz/540 mL)chickpeachickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/3 cup natural peanut butter 1/3 1/3cup cupnatural peanut butter or tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 1/4cup cuplemon juice
- 3 tbsp water 3 3tbsp tbspwater
- 1 tbsp canola oil 1 1tbsp tbspcanola oil
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin 3/4 3/4tsp tspground cumin
- 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 1/4tsp tspsalt
- 1 clove garlic , minced, if desired1 1clove garliccloves of garlic, minced, if desired
Preparation
In food processor, blend together chickpeas, peanut butter, lemon juice, water, canola oil, cumin and salt until smooth. Stir in garlic if desired. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 3 days.)
