6 cups (1.5 L) shredded red cabbage
1/3 cup (75 mL) chopped fresh dill
1 cup (250 mL) vinegar
1/2 cup (125 mL) each granulated sugar and water
4 tsp (20 mL) salt
Preparation:
Place cabbage and dill in large bowl.
In saucepan, bring vinegar, sugar, water; and salt to boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour over cabbage mixture; stir to combine. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. Drain. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)
