Quick-Pickled Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded red cabbage
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 tsp salt

Preparation

Place cabbage and dill in large bowl.

In saucepan, bring vinegar, sugar, water; and salt to boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour over cabbage mixture; stir to combine. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. Drain. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)
