Apple Cinnamon Porridge

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 Granny Smith apple peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup raisin (pitted and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup date (pitted and chopped)
  • 4 teaspoons packed Splenda® Brand Brown Sugar Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats (not instant)
  • 3/4 cups chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cups chopped pecans

Method

In saucepan, bring water, apple juice, apple, raisins, SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend and cinnamon to boil; stir in rolled oats. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir in walnuts.
