Use this basic biscotti dough as a base to create four delicious variations.

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


In large bowl, beat butter with sugar until fluffy; beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Beat in vanilla. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt; stir into butter mixture, in 2 additions, just until combined.

Bake according to directions for the following recipes:
Parmesan, Fig and Walnut Biscotti
Hermit Biscotti
Mocha Toffee Biscotti
Double-Chocolate Biscotti
