Use this classic ginger cookie dough to create four deliciously different ginger cookies.

- 1/3 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup fancy molasses
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 ground cloves
- pinch salt
MethodIn large bowl, beat butter with sugar until fluffy; beat in egg and molasses. Whisk together flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt; stir into butter mixture until combined.
