Buttermilk Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Method

Peel and cube potatoes. Cover and cook with garlic in saucepan of boiling salted water until fork-tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and mash with potato masher until smooth with a few large chunks.

Stir in buttermilk, butter, salt and pepper.
