Great for an appetizer or light dinner, serve with a yummy salad

Ingredients

  • 4 med pitas
  • 2 med onions
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 2 pears thinly sliced
  • 1/2 balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

First put vinegar in pot on stove. Bring to a boil then simmer for 15-20 till vinegar is reduced by half. Slice onions up in thin rounds. Fry in olive oil until browned. Remove onion and gently cook pears/ apples until barely soft. Place pitas on cookie sheet. Spread thin layer of sour cream over pitas. Top with cooked onions and apples/pears. Drizzle reduced balsalmic vinegar over top and bake pitas in 350 oven until pita is crisp 10 - 15 minutes.
