Chai-infused simple syrup sweetens mango nectar and lemon juice for a tart and refreshing summer drink. For an adult version, add a splash of white rum or vodka to your glass and garnish with lemon peel.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups Mango Nectar
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (6 to 8 lemons)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
Chai Syrup:
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 bags chai tea
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Method

Chai Syrup: In small saucepan, bring water to boil; add tea bags. Remove from heat; let stand for 10 minutes. Gently press bags to release excess tea; discard bags. Stir in sugar and bring to boil; boil until sugar dissolves, about 1 minute. Let cool.

In pitcher, stir together chai syrup, water, mango nectar, lemon juice and ice. (Make-ahead: Cover and refrigerate for up to 7 days.)
