Fresh chilies vary in potency, so add a little at a time. Serve this mayo with chicken or fish tacos.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove finely grated or pressed
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons minced seeded red finger chili pepper (approx)

Method

In small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, cilantro, garlic, lime zest, lime juice and chili pepper, adding up to 2 tsp more chili pepper to taste, if desired. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 3 days.)
