Homemade pancake syrup

If using fruit juice, you may want to omit the maple extract and brown sugar as the juice will provide the flavour.

  • Portion size 6 servings

  • 1 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 1/2 cup blueberry juice
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 pinch salt


Mix juice with sugar(s), extract and salt. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and stir until thickened. Transfer to a squirt bottle and refrigerate.
