Raspberry Pear Crumble

Nothing beats a home-style crumble at the end of a Sunday meal. Serve warm with a dollop of fresh whipped cream or ice cream for an indulgent treat.

  • Portion size 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced peeled pears
  • 2 cups frozen raspberries
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Topping:
  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup butter melted

Method

In large bowl, gently toss together pears, raspberries, brown sugar, flour and nutmeg. Spread in 8-inch (2 L) square glass baking dish.

Topping:
In separate bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar and rolled oats. Drizzle with butter; stir until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit.

Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven until golden and bubbly and fruit is tender, 45 to 60 minutes.
