Ingredients

Method

Cook ground beef in large frying pan. At the same time, start pot of boiling water for potatoes. Cut potatoes before adding to boiling water in order to cook quicker. Potatoes will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Boil until soft, remove from heat, drain water, add milk and butter to pot and mash thoroughly. Cover and set aside. Once ground beef is completely cooked, stir in chopped onions and minced garlic. Continue cooking until onions are soft. Reduce heat. Drain tinned vegetables before adding to meat mixture. Add peas and carrots to meat and stir. Add tinned mushrooms including water. Stir mixture well. Add basil, oregano, parsley, and pepper. Stir for 2 minutes. Add meat mixture from frying pan to oven safe casserole dish spreading out evenly along bottom of dish. Add potatoes evenly over top of meat mixture covering entire dish. Sprinkle paprika over top of potatoes for colour. Put casserole dish in oven for 30 minutes uncovered at 250 F. Remove after 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
