Method
In saucepan, cover jasmine rice with cold water; swish with hands until cloudy. Drain and repeat until water remains clear. Drain again.Return rice to saucepan. Add water and bring to boil over medium-high heat; boil, uncovered, until liquid barely covers rice, about 8 minutes. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until no liquid remains and rice is tender, about 12 minutes.
Turn off heat, let stand, covered and on burner, for 5 to 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.
