Easy to make, these two-bite roll-ups have a flavour that only improves if you make them a day ahead. The pork is easier to slice if you freeze it for about 45 minutes beforehand.

Ingredients

Preparation

With sharp knife, cut pork on slight diagonal into scant 1/4-inch (5 mm) thick slices. Trim and cut green onions crosswise into quarters.

For each roll, lay piece of onion crosswise along end of pork slice to extend past edges. Roll up; secure with toothpick.

In large bowl, combine teriyaki sauce with sesame oil. Add pork and turn to coat; let stand for 20 minutes. (Make-ahead: Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)

Arrange rolls on broiler pan; brush with marinade. Sprinkle with half of the sesame seeds. Broil, turning once and sprinkling with remaining sesame seeds, until browned, about 5 minutes.
