Freezing the watermelon first gives this drink its smooth, slushy texture that is truly refreshing.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup lemon juice , (about 4 lemons)3/4 3/4cup cuplemon juice, (about 4 lemons)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 1/2cup cupgranulated sugar
- 4 cups cubed seeded watermelons , frozen4 4cups cupscubed seeded watermelonwatermelons, frozen
- 4 cups ice cubes 4 4cups cupsice cubes
- 1 cup vodka 1 1cup cupvodka
Preparation
In microwaveable measuring cup, microwave lemon juice with sugar at high for 1 minute. Whisk syrup until sugar is dissolved.
In blender, blend half each of the cubed watermelon, ice cubes, vodka and lemon syrup until smooth; pour into serving pitcher.
Repeat with remaining ingredients; stir pitcher to blend.
