This salad has a tangy sweet dressing that you can make well ahead of time.
Ingredients
- 10 cups torn romaine lettuce , (about 1 head)10 10cups cupstorn romaine lettuce, (about 1 head)
- 2 cups Strawberries , hulled and sliced2 2cups cupsStrawberries, hulled and sliced
- 3/4 cup pecans , toasted3/4 3/4cup cuppecanpecans, toasted
- 1 small red onions , cut_into thin rings1 1small smallred onionred onions, cut_into thin rings
- Dressing:
- 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 1/4cup cupolive oil
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar 3 3tbsp tbspbalsamic vinegar
- 1 small clove garlic , minced1 1small smallclove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp liquid honey 1 1tsp tspliquid honey
- 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 1/2tsp tspsalt
- 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 1/4tsp tsppepper
Preparation
Dressing: In large bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, honey, garlic, salt and pepper.
(Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 days.)
Add lettuce, strawberries, pecans and onion; toss to coat.
