Zucchini

Also courgette, marrow squash, vegetable marrow. A long, cylindrical vegetable, usually with the same diameter and half the length of an English cucumber. Zucchini is a summer squash that can be green or yellow, with white flesh and many tiny, soft seeds surrounded by semifirm pulp. It's grown throughout Europe and North America. Its French and British name is courgette, which is French for "little squash." See also squash.
