Add years to your life—practically instantly

 So you learned how some of our vices can truncate our life, but hey, it's not all bad news, friends! Here are five things you can do to add time to your life, according to David Spiegelhalter's analysis:

1. Taking a daily statin (cholesterol-lowering drug) adds 30 minutes a day.

2. Drinking one alcoholic drink a day adds 30 minutes a day.

3. Exercising moderately for 20 minutes a day adds 1 hour a day.
