This soaring beauty stands proudly in the Vancouver showroom of The Cross -- one of the west coast's hottest decorating destinations. Not only is it a gorgeously realized faux fir, it's also dressed to impress in a refreshingly original scheme courtesy of The Cross's amazingly talented team of stylists. I'm smitten with the pairing of vintage-look turquoise baubles with brassy yellow ornaments, arranged almost as if they were a continuous strand of garland woven all around the tree. The striped grosgrain ribbon is a nice touch, too, and I adore the quirky flourish of the uniform cap tucked two-thirds of the way up. Delightfully unexpected!
Would you consider a white faux fir, or are you ever-green?
