Move Over, Mulled Wine—A New Cocktail Is Taking Over This Winter
Is mulled wine your go-to drink of choice in the chilly weather? If so, we’ve found a new beverage we think you’ll like. Introducing Jägertee, straight from Austria!
Made with spiced rum (traditionally Austrian Strohrum), this "hunter's tea" is the perfect drink to enjoy after a day in the great outdoors, while snuggling up by the fire.
The traditional recipe is high in alcohol, so modify it to suit your taste buds.
In a saucepan, heat up on low fire equal parts tea, red wine, rum, brandy (or schnapps or any other liqueur) and orange juice.
Add a few slices of lemon, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Leave on the heat for about 5 minutes, without boiling. Sweeten to taste and enjoy!
