Kobo launches a new e-reader just in time for summer!

The new Kobo Aura H2O is a must for any summer pool-side reading.

Reading by the pool or on the beach is a classic pastime, but it's also a little risky. Our favourite page-turners run the risk of getting damp from errant waves or cannonballs while our e-readers hardly play nice with water. The good news? We've at least solved that e-reader problem.

Kobo's Aura H2O is the latest version of the brand's e-reading family and it's waterproof. It's protected by coating technology applied to the device's interior—that means the device can be fully submerged without the need for port covers. And having put the new tech to the test (we submerged it in a bucket), we can assure you, it lives up to the hype.

Other notable features? Reduced blue light exposure will help you stay up late reading your latest favourite novel—without affecting your sleep cycle. Plus 8GB of storage means that you can store up to 6,000 eBooks, which, along with weeks of battery life, means you can take this item camping, road-tripping or on a portage without worrying about running out of books or power.

Your summer packing—whether for a trip or just to the beach—just got a whole lot easier.
