I love making soups. I especially enjoy creating soups that become a whole meal. Nothing is more comforting during the cooler months as the aroma of a soup bubbling away on the stove.
This creamy, lemony, cheese-and-pineapple jellied salad has been on buffet tables for family get-togethers for as long as I can remember. No one will guess that it has only 5 ingredients, takes little active time to prepare, and can be made up to a day or two in advance!
I love playing around with grilled meat-and-cheese sandwiches. This version of the well-known Croque Monsieur (or Monte Cristo) sandwich replaces some of the ham with beef. Use a good-quality, thick-sliced bread if you can. Try it with any of your favourite two meats and cheeses!

I like to prepare this in my crockpot and take it to my daughters home for a week night dinner. They get to come home to a home cook meal and I get to sit down and enjoy it with them. I serve it in big bowls and have hot crispy rolls to eat with it. It's a perfect dish for the winter months, a great comfort food.

This dish is a classic Newfoundland dish but I have adapted it to make it lower in calories and fat by using 1% milk and low fat cheese as well as whole wheat bread crumbs. This dish can be served as an appetizer or as a main dish. Serve appetizers in individual ramekins.
I am a diabetic and needed a good recipe that was low carb. This is a recipe that I created that was delicious, low carb and easy. Everyone in our family loves it - and it is easy to modify for those who don't like blue cheese (though why they would not, I can't imagine!)
