Trend: Nebulas Blue

For every upcoming season, the Pantone Color Institute (a global leader of colour trend forecasting) compiles the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report to emphasize important colour trends designers will showcase in their New York Fashion Week collections. According to this fall's report, a key colour trend to look out for is nebulas blue. This bold effervescent hue was seen in all types of clothing and accessories on the catwalk thanks to designers like Prabal Gurung (pictured), Zero + Maria Cornejo, and Tibi. Acting as a nice break from the muted tones we've come to expect for fall, this cool colour is definitely a breath of fresh air.

Feeling daring? Fall 2018 runways couldn't get enough of fashions exuding a glossy finish. Following suit, Fendi, Eudon Choi (pictured), and Christopher Kane, all incorporated this high-shine finish into many
pieces. The takeaway here is that fabrication isn't important (whether it's leather, latex, plastic, or vinyl), it's the high-shine finish that takes the cake. While glossy finishes may not be everyone's thing, there are ways to subtly incorporate this trend into your everyday ensembles—it's all about balance.
